The Villages E-Flyers
NOTICE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATLY: Polo field is CLOSED FOR FLYING until June 2024 at the conclusion of the Polo Season and the horses are moved elsewhere.
The E-Flyers have signed contracts with the Everglades and the First Responders Rec. Centers, which will be valid until the end of September, 2024, with a renewable option.
The Everglades schedule is as follows:
Every Monday starting April 1, 2024 8 A.M to 10 A.M.
Every Wednesday, 1 P.M. to 3 P.M.
The First Responders schedule is as follows:
Starting Friday, April 5, 2024, 8 A.M. to 10 A.M. thereafter every
Tuesday 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. and every
Friday, 8 A.M. to 10 A.M.
We will use the multi-purpose fields on both of these locations. The recommended aircraft is UMX type planes and light weight 3D planes. No high performance, of any type, will be allowed. We are further reviewing other types of airplane models that may be acceptable in the future.
Safety is of the upmost importance and it may be wise to use a spotter if onlookers are present.
Happy Flying!

The Villages E-Flyers Model Airplane Club is an AMA Chartered Radio-Controlled Flying Club and an approved FRIA (FAA Recognized Identification Area). We currently fly from 7:30 AM to 12:00 noon Monday through Friday (unless otherwise noted) at The Villages Polo Club's North East Field (or occasionally South East field) . NO FLYING Saturday or Sunday. The E-Flyers fly electronically powered radio controlled model aircraft. All pilots must be residents of The Villages and also have a valid AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) license.
Guest flyers are welcome but must have a valid AMA license to fly and spectators are always welcome. Feel free to use the menu links at the left for more information. Please visit our Facebook Page for the most up to date information, events, tips and sale items.
E-Flyers can no longer ask for assistance by groundskeepers with getting planes out of trees or other objects, all members must be able to remove the planes on their own.
Absolutely NO vehicles are allowed to drive on the fields at ANY time, even if looking for a plane. Everyone must walk on the field. NO EXCEPTIONS!
E-Flyers' aircraft must stay over field 3 or 1 only during flying. Please do not go past the green boards of the field. With planes crashing in the neighborhood behind us as well as on Buena Vista lately, this new rule is a must.
E-Flyers must clean up ALL of their mess from hitting the ground on the polo field. We’ve had many games now where there are plane pieces on the field that were never picked up.
Failure to follow these guidelines may prohibit access to the facility.
